Most family apps store your data in the cloud — on servers owned by the company that made the app. That means the company can see your family's schedules, routines, meal plans, and personal notes. HomeBoard doesn't.
Your HomeBoard is a small computer that runs in your home. Your data lives on the device. It never leaves your home unless you choose to enable Remote Access.
Locally, on the device:
That's it. Nothing about any of this is shared with us or anyone else.
By default, HomeBoard is reachable only from your home WiFi. If you want to access it from work, while traveling, or on cellular, you can enable Remote Access for $19.99/year. Your data still lives only on your device — Remote Access just makes it reachable from outside your home, over an encrypted connection. Cancel anytime.
HomeBoard offers optional AI features for meal suggestions, workout planning, and chore generation. After a free trial, you bring your own API key — we never see it, and we don't take a cut. Prompts go directly from your device to Anthropic; nothing is relayed through us.
This is a static site hosted on Cloudflare. No cookies, no tracking pixels, no analytics. If you submit your name and email via the demo request form, it's processed by Formspree and emailed to us so we can follow up. We won't share your email with anyone, and we'll never email you anything except to set up your demo.
HomeBoard is designed for family use, including families with children. Because all data stays on the device and is never transmitted to us, we don't collect any data from children (or anyone else). There are no accounts, no profiles stored externally, no data collection of any kind.
If we ever change how HomeBoard handles data, we'll update this policy and make the changes clear. Our commitment to local-first, private-by-default data storage is core to what HomeBoard is.
